This week we attended two exciting events we didn’t want to miss. I spent two days at the Husqvarna Research and Development facility in Charlotte, NC, where I learned about their newest products and tested a range of equipment including chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, and mowers. The R&D team demonstrated improvements in ergonomics, emission controls, and cutting performance, and I had the opportunity to try several models in hands-on field tests to compare real-world feel and efficiency.
Meanwhile, Katy is nearby in Asheville, NC, attending a Shaw Floors design event. She toured the HGTV Dream Home and then began designing a room from the floor up at the Tribuzio-Hilliard studios. Her brief is to create a showroom-ready space that highlights the latest flooring trends and functional design solutions. At the end of the event, Shaw’s Facebook community will vote for the top design. If Katy wins, we’ll be able to offer one of our readers a complete floor makeover—more details to come.
