Rust-Oleum Appeals to DIY and Design Fans with Kitchen Makeovers

I recently had the opportunity to join a select group of media for a hands-on demonstration of Rust-Oleum’s new cabinet and countertop transformation kits. The event took place at Latrobe’s, a striking former bank turned event space in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans—an inspiring setting to test paint and surface products.

Rust-Oleum has long been respected for specialty paints and cleaners, and with these new kitchen makeover kits they’re taking a bold step into the DIY and design market. The kits significantly lower the cost and skill required to refresh a kitchen’s surfaces, offering an approachable alternative to full cabinet replacement or traditional countertop installation.

Over the coming articles I’ll walk through each kit in detail. If a refurbished-looking countertop for around $250 and refreshed cabinet faces for about $150 appeals to you, keep an eye out for our full reviews of the process, the materials, and the finished results.

The hands-on format allowed attendees to test the accelerated steps for transforming a cabinet face and a countertop, and the feedback from participants was very positive. In my view, these kits make a weekend revamp realistic for most homeowners, regardless of prior DIY experience.
