The Helly Hansen Winter 2022/23 collection proved to be our go-to cold-weather gear for the whole family. From hiking Mount Hood to fishing at Bodega Bay, Helly Hansen kept us warm and dry through wet Pacific Northwest winters.

Over the past two months we put Helly Hansen through regular use in the Pacific Northwest, where rain and cold are part of winter. The collection performed consistently, resisting moisture while maintaining warmth and mobility.
For women we tested the Tundra down coat, Valkyrie fleece-lined rain jacket, Aspire puffy parka, and Aiden insulated raincoat—each offering different levels of warmth and weather protection depending on activity and conditions. For men we wore the Verglas 3L Shell 2.0, Patrol insulated puffy jacket, Juell 3-in-1 system, Rigging insulated raincoat, F2F insulated coat, and the Tromsø winter jacket. Each item demonstrated thoughtful construction, practical features, and reliable weather resistance.
