The web is increasingly accessed on mobile devices, driven by the widespread use of smartphones and tablets like the iPad. Home Depot has offered iPhone and iPad apps for some time, and the company recently rebuilt its app to provide greater functionality and several useful new features.
The updated app now lets you shop directly from your iPhone or iPad, making it easy to browse products, compare options, and complete purchases while on the go. The app also includes an interactive toolbox with eight practical tools designed for use on job sites or during home projects. These tools help you measure and calculate the materials you need and save those measurements so you can reference them while you’re shopping in-store.
Additional tools added to the app include a measurement converter, a nut and bolt finder, a tape measure, and specialized calculators for drywall, flooring, insulation, and interior paint. These features simplify planning and reduce the guesswork involved in home improvement tasks, helping you order the right quantities and avoid unnecessary trips.
For a detailed walkthrough of the app’s features, see the review by The Home Fixated, which highlights several of the practical functions and user-friendly elements packed into the redesign.
If you want to try it for yourself, the updated Home Depot app is available for download from the App Store.
