Congratulations to Peter Wong, the winner of HGTV’s All American Handyman. The series has grown on viewers with each episode, and although some critics were cautious at first, the show’s production and challenges noticeably improved as the season progressed.
We previously spoke with Andrew Kowalyshyn, who reached the top six. Ultimately, it was Peter Wong who claimed the title by constructing the most structurally sound and welcoming outdoor deck. His careful use of piers and meticulous attention to detail gave him the edge over the competition.
A little background on Peter, provided by HGTV:
Peter’s aptitude for fixing things began when he was young. After his family relocated from Hong Kong to the United States when he was five, Peter quickly became known for his resourcefulness—earning a “MacGyver” nickname in high school. He worked briefly as a mechanic before discovering his calling as an engineer in the semiconductor industry. Peter and his wife live in a home he renovated, where they raise their two sons.
Congratulations to Peter once again. If you’ve ever wondered whether you have what it takes to compete on All American Handyman, HGTV is already seeking the next group of contestants and has announced a casting call for the upcoming season.
