The Milwaukee Tool New Product Symposium is the most anticipated tool-media event of the year, and this edition delivered on its promise: more than 80 new products across multiple trades and a strong push toward cordless performance. We attended the hands-on event and tested many of the new items. Milwaukee provided full specifications, demos, and ample opportunity to use each tool—so we could judge real performance, ergonomics, and practical innovations first-hand.
Year after year the company finds ways to iterate and innovate across a wide range of categories, from batteries and hand tools to lighting, storage, and specialty trade tools. Below is a concise recap of the most notable introductions and what makes them stand out—bearing in mind Milwaukee teased one major announcement that will be revealed officially on August 1.
9.0 battery
M18 REDLITHIUM High Demand 9.0 Ah Battery Pack
Milwaukee skipped incremental capacity increases and launched a true high-capacity M18 pack: the REDLITHIUM High Demand 9.0 Ah. Compared with the common 5.0 Ah packs, the 9.0 nearly doubles runtime, enabling extended use of high-draw tools without frequent swaps or a cord. This battery broadens the practical reach of cordless solutions: think extended cuts with circular saws, longer run times for reciprocating saws, and power-hungry shop-like applications that historically required corded power. For crews focused on mobility and productivity, the 9.0 Ah pack is a game-changer.
LED Light Stand
M18 Stand Light (Portable LED Lamp)
Replacing hot, fragile halogen jobsite lights with rugged LED solutions is overdue. The new M18 Stand Light folds portability, durability, and bright, usable illumination into one package. The lamp extends up to seven feet and provides even, work-focused light without the heat and fragility of halogen. It’s an immediate improvement for framing, finishing, and any task where adjustable, reliable lighting is essential.
M18 FUEL Drill/Driver
Second-Generation M18 FUEL 1/2″ Drill/Driver and Hammer Drill Driver
The first-generation M18 FUEL drill/driver was powerful but felt bulky to many users. The second-generation models refine ergonomics by relocating electronics away from the handle and into the upper body of the tool. That reduces grip diameter and produces a slimmer, more comfortable profile without sacrificing performance. The new motor design is thinner yet produces more power, improving balance and reducing fatigue during extended use.
Empire Level
Ultra View: UV LED Box Levels (Empire Levels)
Since Milwaukee acquired Empire Level, they’ve rapidly updated the brand’s lineup. The company added laser-etched measuring faces to speed squares and framing squares for durability and readability. Their premium box levels now include a backlit LED feature that illuminates the vial, turning the bubble into a glowing reference rather than a glare-prone light source. This thoughtful improvement makes leveling in dim conditions faster and more accurate.
Everyday Carry Knives
Everyday Carry Knives and Insulation Knives
Milwaukee expanded its cutting tool lineup with three flip-out pocket knives sized at 2.5″, 3″, and 3.5″, offered in black and Realtree camo finishes to suit tradespeople who carry a knife daily. These Fastback-style knives are designed for everyday carry with sturdy construction and trade-ready features. Separately, Milwaukee introduced two specialized knives for HVAC and insulation work—tools shaped specifically for cutting foam, insulation board, and similar materials more cleanly and efficiently.
Milwaukee Gloves
46″ Rolling Steel Storage Chest & Cabinet, and New Work Gloves
Milwaukee’s new rolling steel storage chest with drawers offers a professional-grade storage solution at a competitive price point. Built to handle daily jobsite wear, the cabinet provides secure organization for tools and hardware. Alongside storage, Milwaukee introduced new work gloves—leather models with a knuckle-area touchscreen pad for operating phones or tablets and a sweat-wipe pad across the top to quickly clear your brow. Practical touches like these make a difference on long days in the field.
Those highlights represent some of the most significant and practical upgrades shown at the symposium. There are many more new items across accessories, power tools, and jobsite equipment that reinforce Milwaukee’s commitment to innovation and solving real jobsite problems.
One major power-tool announcement teased at the event will shift Milwaukee’s strategy and influence the industry; the company plans to reveal full details on August 1. Until then, these new batteries, lights, tools, and accessories already make a strong case for how Milwaukee continues to expand cordless capability, improve ergonomics, and add thoughtful features that professionals want.
