DIY Pallet Cooler Stand: Step-by-Step Build Guide

My sister Jackie and her friend Becky recently built an impressive cooler stand from reclaimed pallets and gifted it to our other sister. The result is a sturdy, attractive piece that combines practical function with handmade charm.

I was struck by the craftsmanship and attention to detail. With a coat of paint in a favorite team color or a weatherproof stain, this stand would make the perfect addition to any weekend tailgate or backyard football party.

Becky and Jackie documented the build with step-by-step photos that make the process easy to follow. However, you’ll need to do a bit of planning and measuring to match the dimensions of your own cooler and the pallet boards you have available.

The design depends entirely on the size and shape of the cooler. Rectangular, box-style coolers work best because the stand is constructed around the cooler rather than forcing the cooler to fit into an existing chest.

If you follow the photo series and adapt the measurements for your ice chest, you’ll be on your way to enjoying cold drinks from your own custom pallet cooler stand.
