We recently attended the DeWALT 12V* MAX Lithium-Ion cordless power tool system launch at Black & Decker University in Towson, MD. The event introduced a new lineup that establishes a compact, contractor-grade category within the 12V segment.
Presentations were given by members of the design-build team and representatives from engineering, industrial design, and marketing, who described the development process and the choices behind the new tools. Their insights highlighted the challenges and innovations involved in bringing a new product family to market.
A professional tradesman shared firsthand experiences using the new tools, and attendees had the opportunity to test all seven products in the lineup. Each tool was compared directly with current offerings from competitors such as Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch, and RIDGID to evaluate performance, ergonomics, and overall value.
We will publish hands-on reviews of the new DeWALT 12V* MAX tools on our tool blog next week, where we’ll cover performance results and how this series fits into the compact cordless market.
We appreciate DeWALT’s invitation to the launch and their hospitality in covering travel, accommodations, and meals.
