Blu Homes has long been one of my preferred prefab builders, known for elegant modern designs like the Sidebreeze and Breezehouse. They recently introduced a new model called Breeze Aire that brings the same high-end finishes and generous layouts at a more accessible price point — the Breeze Aire starts at $350,000.
About Blu Homes:
Designed in California and produced in roughly half the time of conventional custom homes, Blu Homes focuses on open, light-filled spaces with high ceilings and expansive glass that blur the lines between indoors and outdoors. Their homes feature upscale finishes and integrated performance technologies for comfort and convenience. Blu’s proprietary online design tools let customers create their home in 3-D and receive a clear, fixed price. Built with skilled craftsmanship and steel-reinforced construction, Blu ships completed modules from its 250,000-square-foot Northern California manufacturing facility for faster on-site completion and a streamlined one-stop process.

Breeze Aire
The Breeze Aire draws inspiration from the legacy of mid-century modern developer Joseph Eichler. Beginning in the late 1940s, Eichler Homes built some 11,000 modernist houses across California that emphasized connection to the outdoors, simple modern interiors, and bright, airy rooms. Reflecting that tradition, the Breeze Aire provides an open living and dining area, soaring 17-foot ceilings, and extensive walls of glass. “This is an extraordinary expression of the best of California design traditions,” said Stephen Eichler, grandson of Joseph Eichler, when introduced to the Breeze Aire.
The floorplan of the Breeze Aire includes generously proportioned bedrooms and bathrooms, ample storage, and options for expansion. Its design also integrates smart-technology choices that enhance comfort and energy efficiency while complementing the home’s refined modern aesthetic.

“We are thrilled to introduce this glorious new product that embodies the spirit of the Breezehouse,” said co-founder and Vice President of Market Development Maura McCarthy. “The Breeze Aire incorporates the iconic design of the Breezehouse but at a more accessible price point. Its narrower footprint also makes it well suited for suburban lots.”

For the model year, technology packages and options include integrated audio systems, zoned heating and cooling, motion-sensor lighting and faucets, and Level 2 electric-vehicle chargers. Blu is also offering Breeze Aire combinations with attached garages and “pod” connectors, plus standard lower-level foundation options to accelerate project timelines.
Each Blu client is assigned a dedicated project manager and design team to guide and simplify the building process. While buyers can choose from an extensive selection of finishes and options, Blu provides streamlined project management and design services at no extra cost to the client.
