We recently added the Greenworks 60V pole hedge trimmer to our lineup of Greenworks cordless outdoor tools. It’s a specialty tool that turned out to be far more useful than we expected.
We already rely on our Greenworks 60V mower, blower, and handheld hedge trimmer, but our very tall hedge was difficult to maintain without a ladder.
Pole Hedge Trimmers Are Safer

Whenever possible we avoid using a ladder while operating power tools, so the Greenworks pole hedge trimmer quickly became a priority. It lets us trim hard-to-reach branches safely from the ground.
In addition to avoiding ladders, it’s best to avoid standing on unstable surfaces like countertops. With this trimmer I can comfortably work from a stair landing to reach the top of the tree.

Since we’re already invested in the 60V battery platform, the pole hedge trimmer cost only $150 without the battery—an excellent value for a brushless power tool.

High-Performance Tool
The 20-inch dual-action blade is the same style found on premium hedge trimmers, delivering cleaner cuts and reduced vibration. A three-position head lets you set the blade angle to suit the task and your comfort.
The defining feature for us is the telescoping handle, which extends reach up to 6.5 feet. That extra length makes it easy to tackle tall hedges and high branches without climbing.

We expected to use this trimmer only occasionally for hard-to-reach spots, but it quickly became a weekly tool in our yard-care routine.
Highly Recommended
If you maintain taller hedges or trees, the Greenworks 60V pole hedge trimmer is a worthwhile addition to your yard tool collection. It offers a safer alternative to working from a ladder, extended reach, adjustable cutting angles, and less fatigue, which helps you make cleaner, more precise cuts.
Being electric, it also avoids gas, oil, fumes, and excessive noise—making yard work cleaner and more pleasant.
