Manz Motor Unveils Land Rover Defender 110 6×6: Ultimate Off‑Road Luxury

Manz Motor Company continues to push the boundaries between rugged capability and refined luxury with its latest creation: a meticulously restored 1983 Land Rover Defender 110 Double Cab 6×6. Built in New Hampshire, this unique vehicle blends off-road muscle with high-end finishes to create a one-of-a-kind driving experience that performs as well on trailhead tracks as it does at urban events.

At the core of this Defender sits a fully custom, pneumatically actuated 6×6 differential system with an onboard air compressor. This advanced setup provides exceptional traction control and flexibility across varied terrain, offering drivers unique maneuverability and confidence in challenging conditions.

Power comes from a GM 6.2-liter LS3 V8 producing 480 horsepower, mated to a GM 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain overhaul includes rebuilt and upgraded transfer case and differentials engineered for durability and long-term use, reflecting Manz’s emphasis on performance and longevity.

The suspension package is designed to balance comfort and capability. Upgrades include Fox 2.0 reservoir shocks, a 2-inch lift, softer springs, and polyurethane bushings, delivering improved ride quality over rough surfaces while maintaining responsive handling.

Inside, the cabin departs from the spartan utilitarian feel of classic Defenders. A bespoke interior combines black and tan leather with Alcantara, handwoven leather accents, and black anodized billet aluminum trim for a refined, tactile environment. Heated front and rear sport seats add comfort for all passengers, while careful craftsmanship ensures the interior feels both modern and true to the vehicle’s rugged roots.

Modern electronics and convenience features are integrated unobtrusively to support daily usability and safety. The vehicle includes an Alpine double-DIN head unit with Apple CarPlay, a backup camera, full LED lighting including roof lights, and a Puma-style dashboard with upgraded heating and air conditioning. Stopping power and durability are addressed with Wilwood six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes, upgraded limited-slip differentials, reinforced axle shafts, and an improved transfer case.

Visually the Defender is striking. The exterior is finished in Aston Martin Xenon Grey and paired with 16-inch Spectre Edition wheels shod in 35-inch tires. Functional enhancements include a carbon-fiber bonnet, heated front and rear windscreens, a Warn winch, Land Rover nudge bar, roll bar, NAS rear bumper, and a reinforced tire carrier—features that blend utility with visual presence.

This road-legal 6×6 is titled in New Hampshire and registered with three axles. Offered for $400,000, it represents a bespoke entry into high-end, purpose-built adventure vehicles: a high-performance Land Rover that keeps practicality and comfort front and center while delivering exceptional off-road capability. It stands as a clear expression of Manz Motor Company’s attention to engineering detail and luxury-oriented restoration.

For those who want to see the vehicle in person, it will be displayed at the Rally4Kids event on April 13 in Santa Barbara, presented by the United Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara County. Rally4Kids combines a scenic drive on California’s notable roads, entertaining checkpoint challenges, and a gala—an event that serves as the organization’s largest annual fundraiser and a chance to enjoy premium automotive experiences while supporting a charitable cause.
