OLFA’s latest utility knife focuses on user safety and protecting package contents. The Olfa SK-6 Safety Knife with Blade Guard features a spring-activated guard that automatically retracts the blade when it loses contact with the cutting surface, reducing the risk of accidental cuts. Its shallow cutting depth also helps prevent damage to items inside boxes and packages.
With a cutting depth of 0.39 in (10 mm), the SK-6 is capable of handling a wide range of materials, from light to heavy-duty tasks. It works well on cardboard, packaging film, trim, shrink wrap, and strapping. The limited blade exposure minimizes the chance of slicing through inner contents while still providing enough penetration to cut tough outer materials.
The knife ships preloaded with an RSKB safety blade and allows for tool-free blade replacement, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime. Its handle is made from fiberglass-reinforced ABS for durability and a durable grip. The ambidextrous design accommodates both right- and left-handed users, and the blade slide can be operated with the thumb in either position for ergonomic flexibility during extended use.
Designed for workplace safety and efficient cutting performance, the Olfa SK-6 balances protection and practicality for warehouse, shipping, and general-purpose tasks where preserving package contents and reducing user injury are priorities.
