A garage, shed, or basement workshop often feels informal, which can make even simple tasks seem less risky. You might tell yourself you’re only sanding one board, making a quick cut, or changing an edge—until a saw blade, drill bit, chemical finish, or a cloud of dust proves otherwise. Make Emergency Supplies Easy to Access

Keep a well-stocked first aid kit in a visible location. Beyond bandages, include sterile gauze, wound dressings, adhesive tape, disposable gloves, burn dressings or gel, and trauma shears.
