ReadyMade Magazine has launched an ambitious contest called the ReadyMade 100, aimed at celebrating the most creative DIY projects from around the world. The competition seeks submissions that exemplify creativity in a variety of forms—functional, beautiful, interesting, and sustainable. Creators are invited to enter their best work by December 15 using ReadyMade.com’s submission platform.

Entrants may submit projects across multiple categories, including Home & Garden, Food & Entertaining, Design, Craft, Fashion & Style, Culture, Travel & Places, and Technology & Work. After the submission period closes, the broader community can view and vote on the entries. Following public voting, a panel of eight expert judges will evaluate the top entries and choose the winners.

The judging panel includes notable figures from the design and DIY world, such as Jonathan Adler, Eric Wilhelm (founder and CEO of Instructables), Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge, and Amy Devers of DIY Network. The top winner, titled the “Main Maker,” will receive $500, a three-night trip to New York City with one night dedicated to a ReadyMade 100 celebration in their honor, and the opportunity to have their winning project featured on the cover of the April/May 2011 issue. The Main Maker will also be invited to contribute updates and additional content to ReadyMade’s website throughout the year.

In addition to the Main Maker, a Top 50 Makers list will be published, recognizing standout projects with prizes that include special badges, T-shirts, recognition in the magazine, and bragging rights. Those selected among the Top 50 will also appear in the April/May 2011 issue.

If you have a compelling DIY project, you can enter the ReadyMade 100 by using the Project Uploader Tool on ReadyMade.com. Once projects are posted, visitors can browse and vote on their favorites. The contest offers a platform for makers to gain exposure, connect with a larger audience, and potentially be showcased by a prominent DIY publication.

Good luck to everyone who enters—if you submit a project, let others know and encourage them to vote. This is a chance to share innovative, well-crafted, and sustainable projects with a community that values hands-on creativity and design.
